I have a 1995 XLT (4 door) 4x4 Explorer. It also has the towing package (limited slip 3.73 rear axle). What is my top speed? Is there a governor on these cars?

on yours, there should be a governor not allowing it to go past 105.... my moms has an electronically controlled part of the computer that doesnt allow it to go past 105 mph... however, with an aftermarket performance chip, i think this can be removed.....

Is that any different with the 3.73 gears in the rear?

The gearing, speedo calibration, and tire size may change the actual speed you're going when your governor kicks in, but it kicks in when the computer senses the top governed speed, so it will always be the same reading on the speedo itself.

On mine it's 108.
