welcome thunder

The upper intake bolts(upper or lower) should be around 10-14lbs.ft, but no more. Be careful with them, they will likely be too loose when you start. I'm not quoting a book, I just know the general torque specs which different bolt sizes can take. It's based mainly on bolt strength, and in the case of fragile intakes, the plastic or aluminum which can break. The 98-01 V8 intakes sometimes have one of the upper intake "ears" broken off.

Way to welcome the same person multiple times: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22304&page=213

Funny. Can you run a search through a member's past posts, for the word "Welcome"? The results could be funny.

Oh BTW, welcome to the forum.

Very good, usually with any intake bolts they need to be tightened several times. Even with different torque values(steps), you end up having to go over them several times. So it's easy to just start with a value lower than the max you want, and go over them several times. Work your way up to the max, and make sure the torque wrench is working properly. 15lbs.ft. of torque is not very much, you can do that with a 1/4" ratchet and your wrist strength. Take your time, and check them again if possible after starting the engine.
