I have a 98 2WD Explorer w/ Torsion Bars, 33" tires, spindle lift, and about a 1" torsion twist. I just installed some moog lower balljoints last month, and I think it's just coincidence but since then I've started to notice a popping underneath my truck, and it sounds like where the torsion bars are. It pops when I am turning or leaning it seems like.

Is this a common problem? Kind of difficult for me to diagnose since the truck has to be moving to replicate it.

Thanks in advance

Either way it definitely sounds like the pads are worn out. I wonder how difficult they are to replace if I buy the parts? I will do some more searching here

Are you still running sway bars? If not then this could spped up the wear on the torsion pads. If you are running sway bars, have you checked the bars for binding and for the condition of the bushings? Since you say it only seems to happen in a lean turning condition.

Can you guys direct me to a place where I can buy the torsion bar pads online? How difficult are they to replace?
