a T.T. will raise or lower your front end.

If you look behind the front wheel you will see a long bar going from the front suspension to about under the drivers seat. The area under the driver seat is where the adjustment is made. There is a long bolt ( a want to say it is a 15mm bolt head but dont mark my words on it ) driving this bolt in or out will rasie or lower the front end.
It is real easy.

One question related to this.. I have been told to much tightening will stress the TT and could cause your joints to go prematurely. I was told this when I asked about doing a AAL and shackles in the back and then TT in the front and making it even to fit 32s. Would it be possible or would that be too much stress on the TT?

I believe that as long as you don’t go over the 2 inches you should be fine, over 2 would be stressing it. But I would wait for somebody else to chime in and give you more details on this.

yeah but AAL and shackles in the back would be more than 2 inches as the shackles are like at least 1.5 - 2 right?

Anything 2" or less, shouldn't have any effect on your front CV joints wearing out prematurely (read shouldn't).

Lifting your rear with AALs and lift shackles for 2.5-3" of lift, once again, shouldn't hurt anything.

But with that said I would want the front and back to be even so therefore are you saying they could not be leveled out in the front by making the TT higher?

chances are your rear already sits lower than the front due to sagging. I have both AAL and the shackles and a 2 inch TT and mine sits level.

And even if you did end up 1" higher in the rear, you probably wouldn't even notice it across the whole length of the vehicle.

related questions...

so will a tt "loosen" the suspension? I mean, will it get "bouncyer" or mor nose dive when breaking?

I guess the t bars work based on the stress that they are under to support the weight of the car, so if you release some of that stress to lower the truck, then will the suspension loose some "stiffnesssss"?

I have an 01 x sprt, how much should I lower the front end to make it sit even with the rear (which is stock)... how many turns/twists right/left equal an inch.

I was always interest in lowering my truck a little bit but never was sure about it becase I did not want any suspension components to "rub" touch, etc.

how safe is this??? I guess it depends on much you lower/lift your truck

For the TT do i have to mess with both sides or just the drivers side?

DUDE did you even try to search?
there are more threads on the TT then anything else on this site.
Dont keep starting new threads until you try to find the answers yourself, it is much more satifying when you can ask esducated questions based on the research you have already done.

I only asked because i didnt know anything about TT's and when i found another thread they were to specific on things i didnt need to know or that i got lost in, so sorry if i dont sound educated about this Torsion Twist, its new to me.

I see your from littleton

So..........
Do i have to twist screws on both sides?

yes I am from all over Denver :)

Sometimes you gotta keep searching. I will search for an answer for an hour on this and many other forums, it helps keep the number of threads down and also helps me understand what to ask next.

yes...you twist both sides

Is $55.95 a good price for the WAR153 shackles?
is one order of shackles all i need or do i need to buy two?

one order is 2 shackles and yea thats a pretty good price
