The touchscreen on our 2021 Explorer is possessed. When selecting items on the screen it will suddenly start rapidly selecting multiple items on its own, beeping naturally with each selection. You cannot force it to happen, and once it starts you cannot make it stop unless you turn off the car. The touchscreen is completely unusable when this happens, and it can remain in this state for anywhere between 10 seconds and upwards of 30 minutes. We have taken a video of this issue and shown it to our Ford dealer, and they have tried to resolve the issue with software updates, resets and battery disconnects. Naturally it never happens when they have it in the shop, and they tell us that they cannot replace any parts unless they get an error code when connected to their diagnostic equipment. This is a brand new car, how can we get Ford to make this right?

welcome to EF!

I was just thinking about what a POS the display on our '20 ST is. When on the Audio page we try to press a station button straight on. Instead of selecting the station the display decided to swipe sideways. Same behavior for both my wife and I with a clean screen, and definitely pressing the "button" straight on.

Welcome to the Forum.
If you still have warranty left, take it to the dealer to have it checked out.
