Tow Rigs

I know some of your trail rigs are not street legal and require a tow rig.. lets see some pics of the tow rigs!

Here is my 1996 F-350, 7.3L Powerstroke 4x4 5 speed. Same year as my Explorer. It has 6" lift with 37's. Love this truck..it is also my daily

Not sure why this forum doesn't get a lot of traffic. Here's my rig: 2010 F350 SD CC/LB with the 6.4. Still Stock for now but 4" downpipe, 5" straight pipe and an H&S MiniMaxx are soon to be added.

Here is mine, 93 F350 crew cab 4x4. It's been a good old truck, but we just put a down payment on it's replacement on Sunday.

With the letters in your user name ("...GM"), and what I thought was a bowtie between your headlights, I thought you were going to tell us about a Silverado!
What's the replacement?

Nope, no Chevys in my fleet. The "new" tow rig is a 97 f350 crew cab 4x4 with the 7.3 power stroke. It's basically the same truck, just with a diesel. And no rust. It's got 35"s and a winch on it already, I believe we're going to pick it up this weekend. Here is a better picture of the old girl

Here is what I got:

Old school right there!

Yes Sir!

It is called a GM Scenicruiser and was made in 1956 and used as a Greyhound coach bus. Its got an 8v71 Detroit Diesel engine with a 4-speed manual (Spicer) transmission - No Syncro :) 100% air ride, 100% air brakes, etc. Replaced the clutch on my own last year... that was an awesome learning experience.

I'll have to add links and info about it in my signature...

That'd be really cool to read about. I knew GMC made motorhomes for a few years but I didn't know GM ventured into the busses as well.

2004 Ford Excursion with the 6.0 PSD. Does great and has room for everything inside. I get about 12 MPG towing my Explorer like this.

Nice looking setup, I've always been a fan of the excursion. Who knew an explorer could make an excursion look small lol. 12mpg is about what I get towing ~6-10k in my 6.4. Can't say enough about towing with a powerstroke.

I love excursions!! Especially diesel ones.
Nice man!

Used to have a 2005 F250, but the 5.4 sucked too much gas. So I traded for a 6sp diesel dually with 325,000 miles on it. Runs perfect and with a performance puck and higher flow air filter there's no lack of torque going up any hill and I can get 19 mpg with an empty trailer!
