Trailer Light Wiring

I have 97 explorer sport and am wondering what is the easiest way to wire up the connection for the lights. i know that some came with a towing package however im not sure if mine did or didnt. is there an easy way for me to figure this out. i have to tow a small utility trailer this weekend for my buddy and i would like to have this figured out before that. thanks guys

Under the driver tail light there is a plug. If you are laying on the ground directly looking up at the driver side tail light you will see it. Now there is a ford part that directly plugs into this, or i think you can get one from a auto parts store. This will give you a 4 pin conector, if you want 7 pin conection i have no idea.

If you don't have the plug under your tail light, you will need a converter to wire for trailer lights. Its not complicated to wire in.
