trans swap

do you think it is worth the time to swap out the auto trans to a manual trans? my 94 x has axle code 41 open 3.27 the doner x is a 91 with axle code D4 limted slip 3.73 and the mazda 5 speed . i got the whole 91x for all the parts so i am just looking for your input.i was thinking of changing front and rear diffs and trans ect . so please tell me your opinions thanks

DEFINATELY swap the diffs. Just swap the whole rear axle, its faster and easy. Swap the drivers side Ibeam/diff assembly in one piece with the radius arm on it if possible (never done this)

Now the trans, they both suck so take your pick

i'd prefere the manual over the auto. i considere it to be an upgrade in itself. but if the auto is fine now i would wait till it goes out to swap it. and u know sooner or later it will go out. just hold on to the manual. no point in getting rid of a good tranny.
