Transfer Case

The lean shouldn’t cause any noise. Any synthetic 75/140 will work. You need the friction modifier if you have a limited slip, and it doesn’t come in the oil to begin with.

sag to one side, which side? front or back? is the gas tank full? Did you check tire pressures? How do the rear shackles look?
 






Sag is rear left as tank half shackles look good
 






Virtually all (stock) second gens have this lean. It shouldn’t cause any audible noises.
 






Well thanks for suggestions and ideas but i'm at a loss so it's into a driveline specialist on Friday.
 






Went to mechanic and he says it's my lower ball joints now I'm just wondering how the clunking noise is travelling to the rear. Any ideas.
