Very frustrated!

With hours of my labor (and $40 parts cost), two brand-new Dorman 800-621 Transmission Line Connectors leak right at the connectors, which obviously is not better than my old connectors (with single O-ring).

Has anyone modified the connectors? I’m thinking of using 2 nipple/barb connectors (to replace the existing connectors) and 2 short pieces of rubber hoses and two hose clamps, since a 3rd issue is one OEM hose is not long enough (maybe 1 inch short) and it puts lots of strain on the connector.

Long ago,.. back in the day that's how we dealt with trans cooling lines. The fittings were often seized on the tubing. Cut, install rubber fuel lines and clamp. Never had an issue.
