Transmission problems.

bought a 2000 f150 sc with the 5.4.trans works 1st and 2nd gear and when it shifts into 3rd nothing,motor just revs up.any ideas?does it have to come out?Easy fix when out? Thanks

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the transmission section. When was the last time the fluid & filter were replaced? Did you check the fluid level? Is the correct fluid in there? It could have loose bolts in the valve body or bad valve body gaskets.
