I have a 2019 Ford Police Interceptor Utility I am wanting to put a transmission temperature gauge on and install it in my police center console. Does anyone have an ideal on where I might can get a representative temperature reading on the transmission fluid? I do not want to use the drain plug, as I am afraid the sensor would be too low and likely get damaged. I checked with a Ford Technician and they did not recommend me using the pressure test port on the bottom, which appear to be another drain plug, but is higher off the ground than the actual drain plug. I am no against cutting a rubber line coming from the transmission going to the cooler (so it would be hottest) and fixing it good with fittings or clamps so it would not leak. Please let me know if anyone has done this and or has a ideal spot to pull transmission temperatures from.

Also, I am going to do a oil pressure gauge by just T-ing on where the factory one is, unless someone has a better ideal on where to get oil pressure from as well. The volt meter will be the easiest, just connect it to a switched hot wire.

Thanks.
