Transmission?

I was headed home from work and the transmission started slipping bad, overdrive light was flashing so I put it in 2nd gear drove home and then got ready for school started the car and it didn't go into gear bought a filter and fluid now it goes into every gear just has a hard time driving in drive. All gears go fine besides drive. 4x2 thank you!

Had a similar issue. Transmission slipped when cold under hard acceleration. I checked the fluid when warmed up and was at the bottom of the hash mark. Low Fluid. Drove it a day or 2 before I got a chance to top it off. No other issues during these 2 days. Put about 4 oz of fluid in, Checked it again the next day, not its over filled. Keeping an eye on it.

Ours started with no reverse...had to rebuild the transmission at 65k miles- its 4 months later and my truck still doesnt drive right!!! bucking, hard shifting, now going back for the 5th time! This is my 4th explorer...never had this kind of trouble . very very disappointed!!
