Almost forgot - Stock explorers, come on down! There will be trails you can do too!

Ray L - care for a caravan down in January? I'll be dropping down I-5, right past your place!

sounds great mr."T" davis..hey would you know if JI,is in any of this action??????. as you seen of the video,i dont think i would want to be strapped over any obsticles without the spotting you guys did for me on that short section of the rubicon!!!!!!!!!!! really i mean that. i,ll put my request in and well see you on friday morning. take care.

well guys looks like i wont be able to make this round at truckhaven. I want to, so i can drive and not be a passenger, but instead i'm going to mammoth for four days. I didnt realize the conflicting dates until i booked. I hope everyone has a good time(which i know you will) and safe time.

I would like to start keeping track of everyone who would like to attend Truckhaven 2001 January 13-14. Here is the URL for the sign up sheet.

sweet. My bad..if truckhaven is the 14 of Jan i can make it. Phew.....Thanks for the last post Rick. I thought it was 20 of Jan.
Rick,
the link didn't seem to work when i tried.

The link is fixed. Glad to hear you can make it.

Well, I'm signed up. Dead Link Removed

Tom, Anthony. We're not sure if we are leaving Thursday or Friday. I'll know more the closer to the run, but if we're going at the same time, sure we can caravan. If you leave around 8:00am that means the you will get to my place around 10:00am, which means that we could get into Truckhaven by around 5:00 or 6:00pm, since it's about a 6 or 7 hour trip.
Oh and it's the 13th and 14th, so you would be leaving the 12th, NOT THE 19th. Dead Link Removed

Everyone needs to be sure and read the Truckhaven 2001 Details to get the dates correct. Dead Link Removed

Deadline for signup...

What is the deadline for signup? I won't know for sure until probably after Christmas if we can make it or not. I really want to, though.

There isn't a deadline. I just want to keep a tally of those who are very sure they are going to make the run.

brain fart..

Whoops. Wrong date. I'll e-mail anthony to make sure he knows.

RayL - hey, just let us know. I'll be talking to Ji shortly too - he showed some interest (but he may not be able to afford the time off)

Oh, and I'm signed up too now.

Okay! I see that there are a couple of us 2wd's that would like to attend Truckhaven this year. If we do the easiest trails do you think we cvan make it. I will be locked in the rear with new gears, and she can go through some stuff. Let me know I would love to be there this year. Brian we would have some fun.

i can do pretty much anything the stockers go. I had a blast running the wash at 50mph. I just ordered rims for Colins 33's that i bought from him. I should have them by this thursday. I should do better than i have in the past with a little wider tire. Brian, i do hope that you can make it. Being 2wd is fun, kinda cool being the "underdog" at times. On your truck don't get 4.56 if you drive it alot. I have the 4.11's and in order to get mileage i have to drive 65. When my auburn needs replacement i think i'm gonna spool the rearend.
Hope to see more 2wd out there. Along with those....dare i say.....4wd? :p
This is gonna be a blast. Start collecting FIREWOOD.

ah yes, firewood. I've got a ton, but transporting it all is a lot of weight. If I figure some sort of a trailer to take out there I may just bring out a whole stack on the trailer, but putting firewood int he back of the explorer doesn't work all the well when you've also got a weeks worth of clothes and food, as well as all your four-wheeling necessities :). See you all there (if my vehicle is ready by then)

MATT....MY MAIN MAN. I didn't know you were still planning on going. You wana tow a trailer for me???? I would do it but I don't have a hitch right now(put it on another explorer) and I'm really not in the mood to spend another 100 for a new one. I'll take any cloths, food, tools, whatever you need with me in the trail. I'll even supply the firewood. Let me know. Heck...I'll even put you up in a warm bed inside for the weekend. What do you say??? If not I'll figure something out. You still planning on going through Vegas if you do go???

firewood

we can talk about fire wood at pre-t-haven. i have a trailer, and if we can find enough here in san diego, i would be vwilling to make a couple of runs the week of to make sure there is plenty up there. nobody should mess with it as long as it isn't there over the weekend. Mac, or any other locals, if you have access to large amount if wood, let me know and i'll help transprt.

OH OH OH OH, I wanna go I wanna go!!!!!! If it only wasn't so far.........hohum.....nothing ever happens around here! Illinois sucks....I'M MOVING!! Dead Link Removed

Matt, too bad your not moving to the west coast. Hey RICK! You should organize an east coast wheel and YOU should bring your tight rig over to this side and have an east coast wannabe truckhaven. I just feel left out and I know everyone else on the east coast does.

This is too depressing.....

I am thinking of going though, if the funds are available.

For those who have been there, how is the camping? I know there aren't any facilities.

I think the camping is pretty comfy. There's plenty of room and its not too disturbed. We have some great round-fire conversations as it gets darker, with plenty of good food and of course beer :). Problem is if you want to go to the bathroom, you practically have to drive a mile away if you want some privacy :).
