Hey Bill, thanks for the welcome home. Arsoul was planningon coming 6 months ago but went through a knee surgery and had to change things up a little with his job causing him to be unable to make it now. As far as my explorer, it is running perfect and ready for truckhaven, white door and all.

Hey Matt, whats the scoop on the straight axle conv. I see you still have the old axle in the T-haven pics.

The guy I was going to buy some parts from kept raising the price everytime I talked to him so I didnt get teh parts I need. Still waiting on collecting parts. Plus my dad kicked me out of the garage for a few weeks so I have to wait till I can get back in and work on it. Hopefully here pretty soon.

Hey rick dont forget to add me to the paid list for this thread and Ill take a plaque as well if it isnt to late to order one.

Matt

Rick,

I pm'd you with a couple of questions about the event and the potluck...did it make it to you? :)

Jim

Sorry jim, I haven't recieved anything from you. Could you have sent it to Char?

Anyway, here is Char's potluck thread if you haven't seen it. Dead Link Removed

If you still have a question try PMing me.

Rick, have you decided to set up camp still on the pave area? I will be taking Thursday off and Tom R. & I are planning on leaving early Thurs. morning and getting there around 9 am. This way he can get a little more time in for a run. My truck will not be there until late Friday nite or early Sat. morning. Winter & Colin (Fenderguy) are bring it out. So I will ride with Tom for those 2 day's. But we need to know where to set up camp. I don't want to get into trouble again like the last time.

Since there will be a lot of people and most will be tent camping I think we should set up where we have been near the wash. The area near the pavement is very rocky and I've been told it's difficult to find good tent sites.

Hey Rick, what do you figure your ETA will be on Thursday. Paul and I are arriving early Thursday. I have to leave Saturday evening. I fly out on Sunday and would like to get some trail time on Thursday but not alone, just in case.

We should be there around 1:00pm.

Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D :D

I should be there sometime between 1 and 3 pm as well.

Off the wall question: Do most of you guys that will be tent camping bring "porta potties" for the girlfriend or other ladies? My girlfriend will be coming but she has a fear of releaving herself outside. Just one of those things. I will buy a "porta potty" if that is the best option.

for the girlies who don't want to do their business in the great outdoors there is a public park down the road about a half mile from where we will be camping. last time I was out in those areas (a year ago) the bathrooms were open from sunrise to sunset and all the girls that went with us went over there to do there thing. I'm not sure if it is still open or not but you might be willing to try that.

Great! She'll be happy to hear that.

Porta Poties aren't a bad idea :D

Look, here's an Explorer already outfitted.

I have plans on buying a porta potty by next week. :D

That looks comfortable enough to read the new Truck Trend cover to cover.

That may look confortable but "don't try it while the vehicle is in motion".

To Josh:

Josh S. Wrote: So, I threw in a new rear end(300+tools), bought a new battery(150) and now need to get it realigned and the damn bushings replaced.(200) The new 8.8 rear end has a gear ratio of 3.55. The old one was 3.27. Which means, my front end now has 3.27's while my rear end contains 3.55's. Sooo, in order to use 4wd, I would have to regear the whole truck and get the front u-joint repaired=$700 Sooo, In order for my truck to drive to thaven and be able to offroad out there, I would need about $1000 now. Yah, its an expensive sport and I wish I could go, but you know how it goes. Still looking forward to eventually going up to saddleback w/ you though; have to wait for some heavy rains to come

Josh, you should have told me. I have a pair of 3.73 ring & pinions for front and rear I would have given you. Look me up the next time you want free stuff!
