I got the 'deposit' email from Rick a few days ago. I basically says to either paypal him $20, or send $20 to his address given in the email. We get it back when we show up at the run.

This message is addressed to everyone who signed up for the 2003 Truckhaven run. At this time I would like to get deposits from everyone who still plans on going. If you can no longer attend please email me.

The deposit is $20 and is refundable in full when you show up at the run. In order to participate in this years raffle you need to make a deposit. You can either send your deposit via PayPal to this address https://www.paypal.com/xclick/busin...2003&amount=20.00&no_note=1&currency_code=USD or send it as a check or money order to:

We have always had potluck dinners on Saturday night at the Truckhaven run and we would like to continue this tradition. Please email with what you intend to bring. It can be anything from a home made dish, to a bag of chips. Don't feel you have to bring enough for everyone since combined we should have plenty. Bring your own meats and bring a dish or some treats to share.

Don't forget, if you are under 18 you MUST have a parent/guardian with you or a notarized medical and liability release. Please email me for details.

Please be sure to go over this equipment check list as well http://www.explorer4x4.com/trail_equip.html A working CB is VERY important on our runs! A tow strap is a must, or be prepared to pay for someone else's strap if it gets torn while trying to pull your vehicle out of trouble.

Thanks and we'll see you soon!

Whoa, hold up a second.

All the ECX coordinators keep telling me that there is absolutely no way to get around being under 18. You mean there is a way to get around it? Since when?

hey rick i will send you a money order in the mail right after thanksgiving k. i wanna test out my new gears:D :D :D

If a parent or guardian attends with the minor or if I get a notorized medical and liability release.

Those are the only "special" cases. In that case they can legitimately attend.

Without those medical help can not be given to a minor unless the situation is life threatening. I don't think many people would like waiting around a hospital for 6 hours with a broken arm or leg waiting to get it set and without any pain medication.

I knew about the bringing a parent thing; I've been dragging my dad to the ECX runs. But I didn't know about the notarized medical and liability release form. Now I know. Cool, thanks!

Diablo, you live so far away, by the time you got to Truckhaven, you'd probably have turned 18!:D

Diablo; I am not sure but the notorized medical/liability release may only specifically apply to the 'Serious Explorations' runs that Rick organizes... different clubs/runs may have different rules.

MadMike; if you are in Yuma and you want to see about caravanin' out there let me know... I have to get Rick my deposit but it looks like I can make this (as long as the Military doesn't have other ideas for me :)

Good point. Oh well, I'll mention it to the ECX people next time around.

This will be my first run with any large group of off roaders let alone a solid group of fords ie exploders. This should be really cool.
If anyone needs more local info on the salton sea/city area let me know. I live in the area, being stationed at 29palms and all, been 4 wheeling around the area quite a bit.

I'm excited. I hope I get my gears and locker in by the run. They are collecting dust just sitting in my room.:bounce:

Does anyone mind if my buddy Bill comes in his HeeP. He's setup pretty well and will probably do the Big Dawg runs. Anyone mind?

I noticed some rust on the corner of my bumper today. I didn't recall backing up into anything on my T-Haven Run a few weeks ago. THEN I saw this picture and I know excatly how it happened. I am pretty sure this is where it happened or a place exactly like this, and I cut to the right and slid just a little bit, and the rock is what nailed my bumper! I think this is the same spot.

Rick, doesn't the above pic look just like the one you have somewhere of FAKRWEE in the same spot, or very similar?

LOL, that's were I got this pict from. That's the funny part.

oops. :o

Hey, all white Explorers look the same!:D

Hey Bill watch it:mad: Mines a Navajo:D 20 minutes after that shot I blew the driver side Warn hub. Remember:shoot: Ah the good old days;)

Hey Ron here's the plan. If we keep hitting that rock with our rear bumpers enough we'll wear it down.;)
