Is because changing the tube from metal to some other substance has zero bearing on IAT temp IMO, but I am workin on gettin that temp way down, will be in touch
have found that extra air intake via outside venting has no effect, same with insulation of the TB, have a water cooled system in the works via coils and a small external radiator, is all on the come.
I've worked with engineering departments where there was bidding going on as to who would supply the hoses for a water drilling rig. We're talking over 2 miles of hoses and it was settled in less than 2 months.

I am not sure if you have followed this thread from the beginning, but our intention is to offer this type of intake pipe at some point.
Back in July '03 we were very close to being able to offer this item, with all CAD work complete. The vendor that was to manufacture the part, Thermalflex, was purchased and moved to Mexico without warning. At that time the project was shelved, since we had no confidence in the vendor.
As of January this year, we have started relations with a new company that feels they can supply the part. We are just not able to fund the project at this point in time, but plan to do so at some point in the future.
Nothing solid on reinforced silicone, though we are looking into the possibilities of rotationally molded plastic, similar to that used by K&N and Volant.
