I deleted all the timing alterations by "tooning" them out :) and along with upped line pressure and harder shifts, when it downshifted into 2nd and back into 3rd I might have broken a stub shaft(which is very rare and a great accomplishment if this is what actually happened), no third and 4rth, direct drum related I think. When it was stock it would neutral out when shifting into N at higher speeds and placing it back into D. It also had a broken 2nd piston spring and a few other problems(stuck valves etc) before the new engine, it was on its way out, I just helped it along haha. Probably going to restack the plates, change the TQ,upgrade one way clutches and other minor things while its apart. Thing had over 350,000 kms though.

I tried to twist the coil pack/dizzy at first but I just bent the bracket, where is the CMP I'll try twsiting it next

The most effective means of tuning. Bent bracket method.

Your supposed to twist them DOWN!!! not left to right-

rookies---:D

I'm sure that is what the kids on Civicforums.com probably do. :D

Oh--you had to go there didn't you--:p:

Oh, I went there! ;) :p: We all know that you have plans to put a Civic 4 banger turbo engine into your Mounty. Don't deny it. :D

shh!!! that's top secret info you shouldn't be talking about that. But since I guess the cat's out of the bag now, that's why he's been asking all of those questions about his son's civic, so he can get it ready to drop in the mounty.

Now I have to dump all this crap and start over---grrrr-

I had priced about $850 for 4R70W parts, a wish list. Now I have to search for better prices, and decide on what not to get. You could have used the 2nd roller clutch/drum I just got from eBay for $13, they are $122 new.

Robert, did you or anyone speak to someone about the thin direct clutches, versus the normal direct clutches? I built an AOD with the thin direct set, and haven't used that yet. But for this I need to choose either the 6 normal reds, or the eight thin red frictions. I got mixed answers back in the early 90's when I bought those AOD parts.

I'm hoping that my 99 case bushings and front pump are okay as they are, with 74k miles on them. Regards,

Sorry again, that's typical of how I tell most jokes, I mix up the characters and punch line etc.
