i came across the turbonator website, it said a little turbine placed in your air intake tube can add up to 35 hp. has anybody here installed one of these or does any one know anything about this?

SCAM...run away...very fast. They don't work at all...ANY time you put something static in the air intake that sticks out into the airflow, you are impeding the airflow and hurting your performance.

Remember...If it sounds like it's too good to be true..it probably is...

Yea, it dosent work, AT ALL!!!! I bought one for my X, and eventually it caused the ECU to go haywire because of the odd airflow readings, the computer kept trying to compensate for the swirling air that would move around. DOnt get it, it will end up costing you more in the long run, mines sitting out in the garage waiting to be thrown out. And the money back thing only works if you can conact them, they dont respond to emails....

Oh no, it does indeed work. It releives you of hard earned cash.

junk.

this is also sold as the tornado...after it was out for years at $80 they proved it did nothing for power or mpg...it then dropped to $65...

I can sell you one for less than half the price. Just ignore the Pepsi logo on it.

All of these companies make a fortune on these scams. They give people false ideas about getting super performance, and gas mileage. If it would be this easy to get these kind of results, then the auto manufacturers would make the intake with this design from the factory. It would be OEM equipment, not just a universal part which could go into any vehicle.

Mythbusters did a thing on it and they gained no power.

Looks like garbage that you would find on ebay.

The backyard mechanics show today pushed that Tornado, some oil additive rebuild-in-bottle, and Aerochanber mufflers. I see that show pushing low results items often. The mufflers I discovered last Summer, over $200 for a tiny stainless muffler, where is the value versus a large SS $100 muffler.

Product advertising is big business, tons of companies make tons of money just through ads, whether the product is useful or junk. Research extensively before buying based on one ad or source. Good luck,
