So, in my quest to do the 5.0 swap on my Eddie Bauer, I've come to the point of needing another tidbit of wisdom. On the side of the trans, the very end of the shift cable, how do you remove that? Like I've looked and looked and can't make heads or tails of how you do that, without breaking a slightly expensive cable.

Are you talking about the end of the cable that moves the gear selector? If you are, I just popped mine off. Mine was ball joint type end that just snapped into place.

if your talking about getting it out of the bracket thats on the the trans, you can either unbolt the bracket, or there are 2 prongs you push together then you slide it out. if your talking about the end thats on the gear selector on the trains, take a flat screw driver and pry it off the ball its on

Thanks, that answers the question.
