Does this forum have a section for used parts? (Not used trucks) Similar to the corvette forum, if you need a part, most likely you can find someone parting out a car. I fried my radio. Yes, I could go aftermarket, but really dont care, just want a repalcement that works.

There is a used part section in the Classifieds, if your looking I have a tape deck from a 96 XLT, sitting around being in the way.

Yes, there is a used parts board here.

Also, you can try www.car-part.com (boneyard directory) and ebay.

that is what I am looking for

I dont need a CD player....just a radio that works.

you have to know what type of radio came with the vehicle so the replacement will fit the factory harness. Best thing ebay so you can compare actual photos.

If you're hell bent on getting a factory replacement then I would try either eBay or the junkyards. Just a warning though, they're not cheap and when it's all said and done you still have a 10+ yr old factory Ford radio. My suggestion would be to get aftermarket...cheaper, better, and its new.

Thanks to Joe Dirt

He is sending me an exact copy of what is in there now for a great price. I used to be a big aftermarket radio person, but now at 40 years old, it doesnt matter as much.

Although all my old amps and speakers ended up in the boat and it rocks!!! A 1970's bowrider that can be heard across the lake!

Ha! Go Joe! 40 is great age man, I feel ya... but after careful consideration, I've decided to bump a little - not too much, but it's not too bad! Have fun!

With the prices of aftermarket units these days, it's so hard not to go with them.
