Laptop Monitoring Software

Go to this site. They sell a cable which plugs into your ODBII port and has a USB connection to your laptop with monitoring software. You cannot reprogram, but you can log data.

I have this for a 1998 F150 and used the data to have a Superchip tuned.

Good luck!

here you go

www.scantool.net

the 60.00 version will work just fine--although the wireless one would be more convenient-

The sofware is free, and there are a few to choose from.

I use easy obdII

I use this one http://www.myscantool.com/

It works really well, and includes a virtual dyno. I have not test the dyno function yet, but the data logging and real time display is great

Thanks!!
The black box is the same--but a bit more $$ there-
However, the software looks to be a bit better---

Are there any models which could read EEC-IV, OBD-II, and CAN?

I don't think the older EEC-IV was capable of giving you real time information, just trouble codes at the connecter under the hood. But I'm not really sure on that...
