Last time i was down there me and my buddy went to some gas station where we had breakfast and bought the permits or whatever it was. Do you know what i'm talking about? I figured we could meet there and Chad could buy breakfast

Man I would love to but I AM BACKING OUT. I REALLY can not afford the trip. 300 miles each way getting about 13 mpg with the cheapest gas here now at 3.00$ a gallon I just cant do it. I even bought tow hooks, trimmed my fenders and got everything ready too. If gas prices come down before the weekend though I quite possibly will be game. I'll keep updated

forget gas prices going down b4 weekend... the Elodrado Outpost, where you buy passes etc.. is at 3.45/gal for reg.

I've got more then 300 miles each way getting about 10 MPG in a diesel! lol But i've been saving cash for fuel for a while for this trip.

Josh PM me... NC is hurting for gas and we may want to postpone this trip. NC oil supply seems to be a mess. THe outpost there at URE may not have gas by this weekend. It just seems tacky to go burn gas wheeling when everyone in NC is having trouble with gas.

Just think of it this way... GA is at $6.00 per gallon if you can find gas. NC is only doing as well as it has b/c we have a ginormous tank farm in the middle of the state. The governor said unless supply lines are restored within the week we will be out of gas except for what can be trucked in.
