ok, so soak em in pb blaster, put the torch around the heads to soak in the pb blaster, tap em with a hammer and, go a lil at a time

Think it all might be over kill.when i say tighten then a little first before trying to take it off i mean very little.don't put alot of force, just a little pressure then try and loosen them.my theory is that taping them loosen it up and down and the little tighten the loosen will help break the threads loose.Idk;)

IIf you do use a pen do all that other stuff while its still hot.i would heat tap respray heat then tighten and then try taken them out

but with gas leak.. thinking open flame... not a good idea, lol.

hmmm, yeah.... instant bonfire perhaps...

On your earlier post about Ohio rust... I had a 94 Bronco from Ohio one time and it had a hole in the oil pan from rust, that someone "ATTEMPTED" to repair with roofing tar or JB weld (unsure :dunno:).

I wound up putting a new oil pan on it. I had never seen such a thing, and I lived in Upstate NY for 4 years, so I was accustomed to rusty stuff.

ive seen some pretty crazy stuff from bubble gum and tape to hide oil leaks, to bed liner and tape... people scare me sometimes to hide problems, thats why im gonna try to get it fixed before way to worse

hey they came off with no problems, i guess the leaky oil helped haha.. ok so next problem i lost 2-3..... so i went to get new... do they have to have that pitch at the end or cant they be full threaded?

talking about this... my buddy i and just did this.. we had to replace his rad and water neck and stat on his car... well dumbo snapped the bolt and then snapped the drill bit drilling it out... ever tried to drill a bolt out with a titanium bit in it? doesn't happen... so after 9 hrs of doing this, we put indian dope, black rtv and vice grips... so ive seen and done some crazy stuff even have a pic of it where there is no bolt but he used vice grips

Either, just easier with tapered end.told you they would prob come right out

You guys want to know a little story about taking apart rusty stuff..... I used to do repairs on cement trucks, and one cleans cement trucks with muriatic acid solutions.

Since then, I have learned not to be intimidated by automotive rust.

damn ss bolts/washer are exp... shesh...

next... the black rubber gromit(sp) that goes into the valve cover where the pcv goes... is this the right one pretty sure when taking it off to send it to turdle i lost it.. so gonna need to replace it

bump... anyone know the size or part number for the valve cover pcv grommet?

Adv said its a SO part and doesnt give specs, but they have universal ones.. just trying to get all the parts ready so when my powder coats come back i can just install it all.

i cant believe i stupidly forgot to take it out, i swore i did, just hectic lately. ill get it figured out, was just hoping someone had a lil more info on it... i officially have an O Rileys here in town, so now have three places i can try and get them to open and prefit before buying

so widest and skinniest is out/top
