Cast aluminum valve covers for first gen?

Plug wire routing also comes into mind.. though something could be customized for that as well. From memory, the main harness that runs behind the oil fill is quite snug to the current valve cover.. Pcv valve in relation to the upper intake, all the other harnesses that go over it.

I suppose having some company custom make some covers for our application is out of the question? Anyone know a friend of a friend of a guy? Haha

The valve cover could always be relocated. The heater box might be a clearance issue but that could be remedied.

And the alternator, upper rad hose, fpr, crank vent and maybe even ac pump..these look to be more square at the ends where the 4.0 are not..love for someone to take the plung tho:)
 












Some load spreaders will do the trick;

(auto parts store chrome trick stuff section)
