vin 98 ranger

I have had 3 Mazda b-series pickups, fantastic vehicles bought a 98 Ford Ranger sight unseen a friend found it and assured me it is wonderful however I know nothing about it other than a basic engine configuration and body style from a VIN search is there truly any free way to find out what options my vehicle has it is 800 miles away from me and I am unable to see it or contact my friend for a nother week can anyone help me thank you
