Visual differences between 4r55e and 5r55e

Searched, but no luck...

Anyone know a positive way to ID a 5r55e? got a spare trans for my 97 Ex plow truck, just have to make sure it is indeed a 5 and not 4r55e.

Might try my guy at the dealer, but the only stuff I have to go on is the wiring harness on the trans.

The 97 & 01 5R55E have extra sensors. The 4R & 5R have different range sensors.

Sorry, not up on my autos, this is the only vehicle that I've owned that is not stick...autos confuse and bewilder me!

How can I visually tell the difference between the two? My neighbor owns the truck, he got the trans as a spare for us, just trying to make sure for him that he got the right one from the yard.
