Why am I getting water in my headlights? I understand there is a vent, but a half a cup of water is rediculous.

What gives?

Matt

i would take them off, drain the water, use a hairdryer to fully dry up the water inside(be careful not to melt anything), then silicone the heck outta them including the drain hole. thats what i did with mine and there is absolutely no water or condensation ever in my heads.

I would silicon everything by the drain hole. It is needed. If you do a lot of high water crossings, put a breather tube on it and extend it somewhere. But the breather is needed.

I haven't off roaded for a few yrs so this is all condensation I'm guessing. I emptied them and sat them on a low temp heater over night. They are totally dry now so I guess I'll get out the silicone. I agree on the vent being left open too.

Thanks,
Matt

I would inspect the o-ring type gasket that goes around the bulb as well. Maybe throw a bead of silicon around that too.

at first i never siliconed the drain hole, but then the lights still had condensation, even after all the edges were completely siliconed. so i siliconed the drain hole also, and i have not had even a spec of condensation in almost 2 years now.
