in my town they rilly love 4wheelin and the cops are alltogether chill. but everyonce and a wile they crack down and this is what i got slaped with driving two miles down the street to the rock quary in my banged up x. all at once, no mud flaps, modified suspention, registration, insurance, head lights to tall, rear view mirrors, seat belt, passenger seat belt, modified exost, and to top it off he made me go get my trailer and tow it a mile and a half home. i gess he didnt like the mud falling on his helmet. oh ya he said i should be happy he didnt write me up for littering. i gess he was talking about the mud. :us:

Thats funny, I am from Novato, where were you wheeling? The cops there used to love chasing me around, that's one reason I am no longer there

The point being; driving an unregistered, uninsured nonlegal vehicle, with no seatbelts yet, on a public highway, then *****ing about getting pulled over.

Maybe some of you think it was "kool". I think it was irresponsible and stupid.

Whatever turns your crank...

for a second I thought my mom was here

i hate t osay it, but sounds liek the cop did you a favor... no registration or insurance, no seatbelts and being non law copliant, lucky he let you off with a huge fix it ticket, even a fine if some isnt correctable... around here, thats cuase for impounding a non safe truck

Did he have no insurance at all or did he just not have the card??? If he didn't have insurance at all thats a diff story but if he had and just didn't have the card then

but after re-reading it - LOL sounds like he had none of it, I retract my original cop on rag statement, dude that was just retarded :p

in a heavily modified truck, you should expect to get some interest from the police...all the more reason to have registration / insurance...

not sure if it the same there, but here if you get stopeed without insurance it is an automatic fine usually in the neighbourhood of $3000, and they will tow ur vehicle,at your cost, to the police compund until you get insurance and pay the fines

heres the thing the truck was registered as non working vehicle. i do this when i start new projects to it i had just finished the steering and sway bars so i thought id try it out. its not like i drive it every day. hay x1 i went to novato, did you go to san marin i think i gemember hearing you rolled yours. and the grand total is not to bad no insurance 600, reg 150. definetly not worth it.

hay do you think they night throw the insurance out i had it turned on the same day. maybe i can say it was on but i had no proof with me. ?

Heres from my experience in Novato, for the citations your screwed, Marin county is a tough place for that. I actually got pulled over when the cop thought I was driving on suspended license only to find I was being towed, he pulled up behind me with blue lights and all, if you could only see his face. As to rolling, yes had my share, but not explorers, I graduated from San Marin back in 1984  damn I am getting old, before costco was built that was a great mudding place, or out by the airport, Nicasio res., etc, still like sonoma area, petaluma has killer spots, across from Firemans fund used to be wide open before the houses went up, and of course there is indian valley, I lived over near santa maria area.
