what gearing is this explorer?

Can anyone tell me what gears this explorer has? its being parted out and was told it has 4.10s but would like to be sure.

the 6th and 7th numbers on the Vin, 24, indicate it's a 2door 4x4.

And dang, a 2 door with factory 4.10's, I'm pretty confident that's rare..

not rare, 4.10s were actually pretty common.

I thought that they were fairly common on the 5.0 AWD's, more specifically the Mountaineers.

But the 2door SOHCs? Were they really?

lol, the v8 explorers never got 4.10's all were 3.73, and most had limited slip. Eddie Bauer's and sports were the most common with 4.10's.

I will say this though, my D2 (LS 4.10) axles came out of a '98 Mounty. Weren't they all V8s?

Ok well i have a 98 XLT 4x4, and thats a sport 4x4. Will the front differential and rear end swap right into my XLT? or?

yes, they will bolt in no mods required.
