I'm going to do the front tbar twist and warrior shackles on the back so i should net about 1.75 to 2" of lift.

Just wondering what everyone is using for shocks when they do the lift.

With my jeeps i can find any length shock i want from almost every shock company for the explorer i'm going up with none.

I'll i can find is superlift shocks but there if you have there 4" lift so there to long and will bottom out easy so just looking for shocks for about 2" of lift.

I've found the 2" shocks on 4wheels parts website. I was running into the same problem.

To tell you the truth most guys stick with stock height shocks when they do the tt and warrior shackles. I just replaced the shocks on my truck with some rancho 5000 made for a stock truck and i have had no problems.

Stock shock size will work fine for most everything.

If you want more travel, the rears can be changed out to a shock with more extended length. The fronts do not have that much travel, as the IFS will limit the travel anyways. If you go with more travel on the front, you will need limit straps to save the C/V axles. Torsion bars and shocks act to limit travel in the front. Only need to be concerned when wheeling though. I would stay stock size.

Go to the Rancho website, download the pdf catalog they have. From there you can just pick out the size you want. Once you have that info, you can use it to shop for other makes. I cross reference with Summit Racing web site for other makes.

I am running a set of RS9000XL series with a little over 28" extended in the rear, lots of travel acquired with these over stock. Just remember to extend the brake line. Rears are same mounts from 1st to 2nd gens.

I ran stock size in front till I swapped to coil overs. Fronts are different mounts from 1st to 2nd gens.

I'm also running Rancho RS9000XL shocks with the TT/shackles.

Running some Inexpensive 2" extended shocks from 4 wheel parts.
