Whats a good HID kit

You don't need the error code eliminators, those are for BMWs. IF you chose the 55w kit, I strongly suggest the relay harness. With the 35w kit, it is not required.

so im trying to order my fog lights and ddm website doesnt say it carrys 9145 fog light bulb. How did yall replace the fog lights. Did they once carry those bulbs or is there another size i can use. Im confused. HELP PLEASE

9145 is the same as an H10

Total Newb here. I just bought an 05 Explorer XLT. Says Low beams 9006 bulb and high beams 9005 bulb. Do I need to order a set of both bulbs? Do I also need to order 2 kits? A little confused on how to go about this. Will be purchasing from ddmtuning. If anyone could give me a list of items I will need to purchase that would be amazing.

you dont have to order the 9005 high beams if you dont want to...

do you want a 35w or 55w kit ?

55w kit requires the power relay as they draw more power form the battery, but the light output is better than a 35w kit. Also 35w kits do not require the relay harness, as they dont draw as much power, but they are still a MASSIVE improvement over factory halogen bulbs...

I think I will just end up getting the 35w kit. Dont need all the bells and whistles. Just want better visibility because stock lights suck! So basically just need to get the 35w kit with correct bulbs and its all plug and play?

correct

Low Beams - 9006

High Beams - 9005

Fog Lights - H10 / 9145

6000K will have the best light output with the cool blue tint...

8000K or higher will have a more concentrated blue color...

Fog light ballast included with original kit or would i need to purchase aditional kit? Sorry for all the questions.

you would need to buy a kit for your headlights, and a seperate for your fog lights...

fog lights are direct same plug/play

And I wouldnt even have to worry about my high beams? Since your so awesome and prompt with with your answers. What is the best bang for buck accessorie website to order from?

you dont need to have HID high beams, just cause you swapped the low beams. Its all preference I guess, you can if you want to though...

I never put HID's in my high beams as I rarely use them...

Yep ddmtuning is where i am getting them from. Coworker showed em the site. I was looking into getting some nerf bars or running boards for my vehcile as well. Mayeb even different headlights all together with some of my tax money.

everything else you mentioned... ebay motors...

This kit is there any splicing of wires or do they plug into the factory plugs?

I downloaded the PDF install manual from DDMTuning.com and it looked very simple. Pretty much plug and play.

Plug and play.

To the membe asking about HID high beams, stay away from that. Hids are not like halogens which are full brightness when first on. HIDs take 5-15 seconds to achieve full brightness. (they have to warm up)
