Hm id probably do a nice set of flowmasters or something like that, dual out the back, it would gice it a nice growl

The only thing is, is that i have a dual in and single out when i was looking under my car. I thought that was the weirdest thing.

?
dual into the muffler and single out the muffler?
Id deff do dual in and out, better performance and a growl lol

And i want it loud. Would it be hard to route a dual exhaust out? Has anybody did it? if so where you shoot the pipes out at?

With the location of the spare tire & gas tank it is darn near impossible to route true duals on an Explorer.

Try a MAC cat back. It is a dual 2.5" in single 3" out

This is cheesypoofs http://videos.streetfire.net/video/50-Ford-Explorer-Mac_640945.htm

This where to get it http://www.hensonperformance.com/Productsftex_Catback.html

^^ James is a vendor here.

do you know if that video was with just that bolted on and a 3" out pipe?
Or can i just bolt it on and get a reducer and run stock pipes and just aftermarket exhaust?

mine is the meanest sounding exhaust, just kidding but mine does sound really good check out its in my signature. duel in and out muffer 3 inch sound same as a cobra r i was told many times.

slyfox did u take out that converter under the car that went from 1 pipe to 2 into the exhaust?

what did you leave in? and was it a pain to take out?

get a Flowmaster with a turndown before the rear axle. I had a dual in dual out on mine dumped and it was pretty loud and sounded awesome.

the hard part was going over axles and i still have a bit of a problem. My abs light came on not to long after I did the exhaust. What it was the exhaust was getting hot enough to burn through the abs sensor wires on the axle. so i went under and re routed the wires. other than that i used the same down pipes design but did not join them together like the stock ones do later down the exhaust and took me lots off under car time and planning. but the result was way worth it.

Out of curiousity, why did you go with dual 3" exhaust?

What are these? and what is the bottom pic? Can i take them out or is the one right below the cat?

Those are your catylitic converters. You have 4 of them.

It is a Federal violation to remove them.
