What's your voltage?

I am very curious as to what others voltage out put from the alternator happens to be.

Take your voltmeter and get (1) a reading from the B + terminal and (2) from the battery at ( A ) idle and ( B ) at 1500 RPM.

Please do this with all accessories off and with your lights on bright, AC blower on high, electric fan on [if you have one ]and stereo on.

at less then 1500 RPM, warm idle (800-900) the voltage at my battery is 14.4V steady.
In fact it hardly changes at all when I turn on everything (stereo, lights, fog lights, heated seats, blower motor, defrost, etc) I think the lowest I saw was like 13.9V

I have a new 130 amp Bosch 5.0L alternator, all new alternator VR wiring and battery terminal wiring/etc.
 






At 1500 RPM, no load, 14.53 volts, at the Batt.
At Idle, 650 RPM, no Load, 14.32, at the Batt
At Idle, with E-fan, heater at full blast, sterio, headlgts, foglgts, doors open, 14.12, at the Batt.
Thats with an underdrive crank pully
 






at idle(800-900rpm) with nothing on 14.4volts
at idle with headlights/fogs, heater full blast, radio, interior lights on 14.0volts

at 1500 with nothing on its 14.5volts
at 1500 with everything said above on its 14.3volts

this was testing with a volt meter at the battery. with somone else wrting down the readings.
 






With underdrive crank pulley and overdrive alternator pulley installed.

No load att idle
B+ 13.1-13.4
Battery 13.1-13.4

1500 RPM
B+ 13.8-13.9
Battery 13.8 -13.9

Under full load – lights on high, fog lights, AC blower on high, electric fan on, stereo and amp on

At idle
B+ 12.9 -13.1
Battery 12.9-13.1

1500 RPM
B+ 13.8
Battery 13.8

With those numbers Russ, why do you feel you need to change the pully?
 






because in gear stoped it drops like a rock. right to 12.whatever volts causing dimming and the dash gauge to drop. and it never did this before with the stock pully. and the bigger pully that came on the new alt can only make things worse.
