I'm hoping someone on this site can help me. This Throttle Body is off a 1996 Ford Explorer 5.0, and I'm just trying to figure out where the other side of this tube connects... I think it goes to the tube on the oil filler neck, but I'm not sure. I would appreciate the help!

I don't have a 5.0, but on the 4.0 that would be where the hard vacuum line goes.

it goes to the oil filler neck tube. if it were a vacuum connection, which it is not, it would not be on the atmosphere side of the throttle body plate.

Yep, a simple hose to the oil filler:

Thanks! is it just a straight connection, or is there a pcv valve or anything connected to it?

I'm not sure if it's relevant or not, but what I'm doing is putting an explorer intake on my Bronco. The old throttle body setup does not have this, but does have a 1/4 inch tube that goes to a charcoal canister. The tube on my filler neck usually goes to the air filter. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks again.

The 1/4" canister vacuum line on the '96 Expo is the one closer to the coil packs on the left side of the engine.

The oil fill tube to throttle body hose is just a simple length of hose, no check valves etc.

With the MAF sensor there at the air filter box, you'd not want the oily vapors from the crankcase entering the air filter and fouling the MAF.

Got it... I think we were posting at the same time. Thank you.
