Where is the ABS module located in a 2020 explorer?

I searched the forum, I searched google, I searched the car, I can’t seem to put eyes on the AWD module. Is it in the engine compartment behind a firewall?

Second question, am I able to update module software with an OBDLink Bluetooth and the FORScan app?

The AWD module is behind the driver's seat, under the carpet. The only reliable way to update module firmware is using Ford software FDRS, which must be leased (ie. $50/2 days), AND having the appropriate J2534 adapter (ie Mongoose for ford, $550).

Separate I think. At least they are identified as separate modules and have separate firmware. I have had both ABS and AWD module firmware updated on my MY2020.
