 In the process of reinstalling the flywheel I managed to shear off a flywheel bolt and stress at least 2 other ones! I have tried Advance auto parts, autozone, and NAPA. Also called 2 Ford dealers and only one said they could get them. One didn't even show them in their system. I am going to try the JY on saturday.

Note to self! READ the Manual WELL. We thought it said 108-132 ft-lbs and didn't notice it said inch pounds!!!:rolleyes::eek:

They don't have them.

My friend found them at a hardware store around here. The guys sells specialty stuff. The bolts aren't exact, but close enough. Used three of the new ones and 3 of the stock ones in an alternating pattern. ie old, new, old, new, old, new.

Thanks.

I'm assuming they can be reused.. If so.. I "should" have some in the box of parts I took off a donor motor...

Also, are flexplate bolts and flywheel bolts the same? If so that will make it easier to find in the box...

A pic would help too.. If I remember correctly they were somewhat large heads but not a solid head.. am I describing it correctly?

Don't have a picture. They are about 2inches long 1.0 pitch and would say a 8mm shaft. I don't think the flex plate bolts are the same. I found them already. The tranny is up in the hole. Just couldn't get it aligned all the way in the daylight alloted. Yes, they are supposed to be reused.

Yeah, your not kidding. I'm laying there torquing the bolts and wondering why they weren't tightening. lol DUH. That was 10.833333 times the correct torque.
