If posting, what year and shocks along with results.

:chug:

right now i have Moroe Reflex shocks. i think they are great. but i cant really say which is best since i haven't tried all of the other choices. i'm sure most people will just vote for whatever shocks they are currently using.

Where's Monroe Reflex?? :D I have them also...they are good shocks. I could have gotten Bilsteins, but I don't think my truck needs something that expensive.

Gabriel's with VST. $15-20/shock

Can't beat performance vs. price with these shocks.

These really work good?? I was thinking about getting these(on a budget) but wasn't sure if they were any better than stock.

It all depends on what your butt likes. Gerald and I love the Gabriels, but some other members don't like them very much. IMO, they're almost as good as the high-priced shocks, maybe even better than the Edelbrocks offroad. And they're pretty bulletproof (except for Hank). I haven't had a problem with mine and they're 2.5 years old.

Again, you can't beat them for the price.

I wouldn't call them bullet proof. I'm currently running them front and rear and they are nice when the are new. however if you're running a T/T and shackle they could give you problems. They limit the downtravel , both front and rear, and after a few months of that mine started leaking. . . but when you can go hand them in and get a new set for free, its not so bad :)

ps. I have done a ghetto job of extending them (not cutting them like gerald) so this time they should last a little longer.

Old Man Emu shocks!!! amazing, awesome, fantastic. great stuff. nice and tough.

Bilsteins are my favorite as I like it firm for Mississippi dirt roads and other semi-offroading and for a heavy load of stuff and trailer pulling. The Gabriels fell out of favor for me in less than a year, and I replaced them with the Bilsteins. If you want 4 Gabriels for a '97+/- Explorer/Mountaineer, let me know, and I let you have 'em cheap.
