Considering you could buy two, with suspension lifts and tires, of the STs for the price of one of the H2s with a few options.... No Brainer....

come on thats simple

the H2 is actually pretty stout if the tie rods are beefed up......

BUT some of us know what a ST can do

That's not fair. Ford is by far a better manufacturer than GM. :D It's rare to see a Hummer that dirty. Where's the bling? The owner of that Hummer just has no taste :p

Sweet truck. Makes the H2 look weak.

H2 = ****. One of my friends has some land here in alabama we got one and went wheelin', broke the thing in about 15 min :thumbdwn: . Now if it was an H1 that would be different ;)

TRUE Humvees would suck for the trails around here. They are way too wide. H2's even with beefed up tie rods have pretty crappy clearance, ifs, little flex, and are top heavy. Now, an H3 has some potential but i wouldn't want to spend the money for one just to take it out and tear it up...

My verdict, the "H" line is for yuppies who want to look like they are rugged and go wheeling. They are buying an idea...

H2 = New Porche Syndrome

Small boys and big toys to make up for small boys.

Get a real truck, beautiful ST.

Obviously the H2...everyone knows the more $$ it costs the better it is..........

:p That's a badass Sport Trac. Now it needs a multi-mount winch to go in that empty front reciever. ;)

that ST has alot more ground clearance than i thought

I don't even think the H1 is all that capable. I drove them for 3 years in the army as a Heavy weapons specialist. I spent more time fixing my truck due to lack of available mechanics and crappy GM engineering than I did training! I went through 1 motor, 4 CV axels, 3 hubs, 1 hood, 2 doors, 6 windows (on the doors), numerous rear hatch struts, and tires, tires, tires!!!!!! And these are just big parts. Not to mention numerous lights, radio parts, gun hatch parts, heater motors etc.

And they can be stuck. I have done it and seen it done, numerous times.

If I am not mistaken, I was behind one of these Behemoth-Yuppie-Mobiles (H2)a couple of weeks ago and I swear it looked like it has a solid rear axel. Is this the case or am I halucinating? I thought the big deal about hummers was the 4w Independent suspention?

H2's do have a solid rear axle. The H2 is not a hummer, it's a suburban with a different body on it for all intents and purposes.

i know H1 can get stuck, but they kick ass, if you take a ex-military hummer with no armor and stuff, sometimes i wish it had duel .50 calibers on top :D , and have just that it is badass, one hell of a farm truck.

All I know is RUN WHAT YA BRUNG

its not about which one CAN go offroad, its about which one actually gets TAKEN off road. Wheel em both!

hell with ma duece!! Mk19 was my favorite toy on a gun truck. There is nothing in the world like laying down 425 round per minute of HE 40mm grenades that travel oh, about 1750 yards if I recall my glory days correctly. The whole truck would rock no matter what direction you shot them. It was a beautiful feeling...unmatched by anything else I have ever fired.

Now, I am an accountant. :( but it pays for more toys than the fun job did. :)
