sorry for all the choices, but these all had good qualities for me. if youre wondering why an AT is in there, the scorpion a/t, its because i liked the look and then later found out that it handles on road better than its S/T cousin and has better reviews than the non a/t tires. thanks for your advice!!

Michelin LTX M/S, Michelin XC LT4's.........

ive heard some great stuff about the scorpions. no personal experience with any of those listed.

bump...i considered the michelin, but theyre all too expensive for me :(

I run about 97% on-road with Bridgestone Dueler A/T non Revo.
I love em, in fact, I was doing some light mudding with a friend with 3" lifted 33's blazer fullsized with 350ci etc, and guess who pulled who out? :D
I think they are very good tires.

Goodyear fortera hl edition??

I bought the BFG Mud Kings! They weren't very costly and have no road noise. I've been in vehicles with the BFG MT's and they were very noisy. The Mud Kings have a great grip, are studable but only have 2 ply side wall compared to the MT's having 3 ply! I love them!

Ditto, they are great tires for any road condition and do very well off-road too.

Nitto Terra Grapplers or Falken Landair AT any comments anyone? The Nittos have a treadwear rating of 440AB i think... thats pretty impressive.

How about the Goodyear Wrangler MTR tires that come standard on the Jeep Rubicon????

Anyone have experience with these?

The MTRs are an excellent off-road tire, little expensive. But for a vehicle that is going to see a lot of street travel, not a wise choice.

I have the Goodyears. Doesn't matter what they are, really. I mean, they're tires.

Personal Experience

 I LOVE my Scorps!!

The ST is STRICTLY street. I saw some the other day on a Chevy Monte Carlo. :p

The AT has been an awesome tire for me. Very quiet, awesome traction no matter the surface, and cheap!

I've been wheeling on wet and dry rocks, snow, ice, shallow mud, and soft dirt. Never had to air down for grip and never been stuck because of poor traction. (I HAVE been stuck, but it was always because of hanging the undercarriage on rocks.) I've also SERIOUSLY abused the side walls, and never tore one up.

I spend most of my time on pavement too. Snow, ice, rain, dry, whatever. I've never had problems, even in Colorado blizzards and Texas ice storms.

The only draw back I see is that they wear a little faster than some other tires. But for the price, they're still the best deal. I'd vote twice if I could. :D
