Who, if anyone has the Jacob's DIS system?

There has been some discussion about the Jacob's system previously on the board. You may want to try a search. Bottom line - not worth the expense.

A friend tried one on his 97 Blazer. It did something to raise the exhaust temperature to an extreamly high level, to the point that the heat from the catalytic converter caught the undercoating on fire. This happened while driving 60, not just idling in traffic. The Jacobs was the only change he had made, so it came back off. He has had no problems since.
