Welcome to our world! Just want you to know that once you start the mods, you'll never stop. Know that from my own experiance. Can you make it to out Explorer Hooters gathering? It's gonna take place on Sunday, February 11, 2001 and it will start at about 3:00PM. (Hooters in Schaumburg unless the management will not allow us there)

Hey Andre, do you have the exact address for that Hooters. I know how to get to Schaumberg because my cousin lives by Arlington Height just need to know where to go. Ahh......... that is the only Hooters I have not gone to in the entire Chicagoland area looks like I am going to cross that one off the list soon!

Can't be too specific but I know it's on Golf Rd west of the 53, south side of the street. Can't miss it!

I'm glad to see such a positive response to our first NIEC's get together. I'm sure the fact that it's taking place at Hooters has nothing to do with it! I haven't talked with the management at Hooters yet regarding pictures and such. I was hit with a serious flu! I feel about a weak as a Ruble. I will get there this week.

Count me in for that Hooter Outing and mabe my wife too. How about kids, anyone bringing the whole family?

Hooters? Family? I'm not sure but could be. Let us know who's coming with the family. I might considering bringing mine too.

Names Brian, and I have two kids 7 yr daughter 9 yr son. I don't want to bring them if it is not a family thing. Besides if my wife comes how am I going to get some Hooter girls to crawl al over my Explorer?!

SplashMan, glad to have you joining in! Of course your wife and children are welcome to join us. Hooters is (believe it or not) a family restaurant.

I talked to the folks at Hooters and they do not take reservations but said that 3 p.m. on a Sunday should be fairly light and he didn't see a problem accommodating our club. When I asked him about the photo shoot he wouldn't give a definitive answer. I think we should bring it up once we get there.

Works for me. I'll probably bring my wife and kids as well. I've got a daughter that's 6 and a son that's 7 years old. Thanks Brian, most of the time we go by nick names but every now and then we use first names too.

Yellow????? i have no idea what other color i would like better, but i don't know how yellow would go with must of our explorers. How about gray or something?

Thue dat on the yellow....But also, I dunno that the negative typ deal of yer truck is good....is there a way you could do an outline, kinda like what the t-shirts that Matt Adams was sellin? Just a thought

Eric, I have to agree with the the other posts about the yellow. Besides it does not do your Explorer justice!

I like the idea of the round/oval, but I have to agree with everyone else on the color. Maybe a simple white / blue / yellow vinal sticker with out the picture (nothing against your explorer) maybe we can comeup with a logo or something.

Afraid I'm gonna have to jump on that wagon also. The yellow makes it look like some surfer sticker or something. How about trying to keep it blue/white, just like the stock Ford emblem colors. I'm sure you want something that stands out a little, but this would fit all truck colors (trying to fall back on my graphic design experience a little...haha).

I have to agree with you all on the yellow color. When I first made it, it looked okay but the more I look at it the louder it gets. I changed the color to a light blue and am replacing the truck in the center with an outline of Illinois and a silhouette of an Explorer over that. I should have it done today and post it here early this evening.

And thanks Andre, I liked the first one too. But the yellow was a bit too bright.

Remember guys, these decals will probably be only about 3.5 or 4.5 inches across. About the size of the NRA decal if that helps. I just show it large here to show details.

That was my reasoning for wanting a bright color. So we could recognize fellow NIEC members!

But your not going to put a decal you don’t like on your truck. I know I wouldn’t.
