sweet ........but the front torsion bars dont' like flex :(

time for a SAS ........i wonder how much it would cost for some longer A-arms or for sway-away to build u some bars(i know they do custom applications) then u could get some descent flex out of the SLA ................ ext. arms plus some flexy t-bars:D

Yaa..tell me about it. This is with the rear sway bars off and the front on.
Get rid of that front sway bar. you'll get another few inches of wheel travel without it.

Too bad I do all my flexing in the middle of the night so I have no pictures. . .someday

These are the only pics I have of flex, but I can't believe how much differance there is with out the swaybar, I should have taken it off long ago.

I haven't tried it with out the front one, but I will next time I go off-roading.

this is stock... no swaybars and 31s

This is a bone stock with the both sway bars CONNECTED. I've never un-hooked mine. I've never needed to.

Please excuse my bony friend. :p

That's right. . check out my 8.5" of front wheel travel. LOL.
That's all she'll go without major custom work. Dang ball joints max out.

Hey guys.. I've never tried disconnecting the rear one, but my front swaybar links were broken when I got the truck, and when I had them replased there was definately less flex. Don't think it rubs in the front anymore eighter..
I just can't understand why it would help disconnecting the rear one. My tires already rub when I "twist" the truck up until one wheel lifts from the ground. Will I get more downtravel or something?

Ned,

Yes, If you disconnect the rear sway bar and that 5th shock (if aplicable), it will help your down-travel. Just watch your rear brake line. you may have to bend down the upper bracket in order to have enough slack.

Okay so this isn't a nice posed flex pic but it is my new favourite.
It's a little bit flexy and an action shot to boot. :D

KEEP THE PICS COMING!!!

i have sent sinjin's pics to every jeeper i know. im loving this. keep the pics rolling. one day ill get a few up on here.

ned you will definitely get more down travel. if you are towin a load or going on a long trip i would reconnect the rear sway bar but it is really not all that necessary.

Here's one of Rocky flexing...

There are a few videos at Dead Link Removed of Rocky in action. They aren't more than 5-10 seconds long, but his truck does some funky twisting in there.... well worth a look!
