Who's welded the 8.8?

Ok, I'm built ford tough now but I don't want to buy a locker cause I'm a cheap ass. Anyone here welded the 8.8? How do you like it?

my buddy has his welded in his YJ and he likes it....hasn't broken anything yet(36's-d30-8.8)....it's a chirper but it does the trick ...best bang for teh buck....u might wanna consider a spool

It's c-cliped so can't spool it! They make a mini spool but that's for an open carrier, I have a track lock! DAMMIT! Anyone have a stock open carrier and spider gears for cheap?

then weld the spidergears to the carrier and get it over with u will like how the grocery getters new found $10 dollar spool connects
