Hey guys, I'm new here and so far have one question. I hope by the end of the week I'll be getting a '99 explorer eddie bauer edition and can thus start my fun time. But, my question is why has there been no lift kit made for the explorer? I read that they're top heavy (which would be obvious), but is it a safety issue, or has no one been willing to develop one? Any help would be appreciated!

Hmm, I looked on a couple websites and the only thing I found was a $2,000 suspension lift from RCD. Is the ford ranger and the explorer just that similar? Or does the Ranger one just work? And sorry I should have been more specific. I'm looking for a body lift. Can't afford no 2 grand lol.

The other option is a sloped body lift.

SOA in the rear, TT and body lift for the front (body lift is sloped from front to rear).

It "seems" to work.. There are a few threads on it and it seems that the hardest part is figuring how to get the right lift for the rear as a SOA is normally 5.5" in the rear.

Alright I think I might just end up doing the torsion twist and shackles or AAL. I'm doing this mainly for looks because where I am, there isn't much in the way of off-road. Hopefully the TT and shackles + tires will give me the look im looking for.
