Well I am running a 94' exploder - 4" sus lift, BFG MT 33x12.5x15s, Locked front/rear, and 4:56 gears- and soon to have a 1-2" body lift... I was thinking of doing an spring over for the rear.. but that will be about 6" of lift... I tend to use it for a dd, with occasional trips to CO for trail runs... I can't see any reason why not, but thought I would ask. Can I run 6" in the rear and "4 in the front? Any thoughts would be helpful. I was thinking that with the gear it would be about level? Is 2" even worth worrying about?

That's a personal preference thing. If you don't mind the front being 2" lower than the rear, then there is no problem. :) The only thing is (and I'm sure you know) if you are already using the 4" springs in the rear and do the SOA, it will be more like 9" and you'll need a different drive shaft. If you're going back to the stock rear springs then you'll be right where you're thinking.

If you'll be using your original stock leaf springs for the SOA, it'll probably work just fine, since the leafs tend to sag over time anyway. With the weight of some gear, it might be just about right so the rear is just a little higher.

Also, if you have any idea which stock leaf was on the driver's side, you would want to swap sides, since the driver's side leaf tends to sag first due to the weight of the gas tank + driver. Swapping sides tends to level it out more.

ill take your old 4inch leaves if you do soa with your stock ones! :D

Ha Ha - I don't have 4" leafs, just an ada leaf, and some drop down brackets. I'm planning on using the stock leaf springs....

i kept my stock leafs for when i do an SOA when i did my suspension swap/lift. they hav AALs in them tho.. is it wise to leave em in? or should i just take em out?

Coil spacers in the front will give you the additional 1.5-inches in the front. Spring over conversion in the rear with a stock set up will give you the 5.5 in the rear. I would cut the fenders before I would add a body lift.
