ok heres the deal, i crashed my 99 xlt and its been in my driveway with the front end off for a couple weeks. i know the horn worked after the accident because i hit it once by accident while i was working on the truck and it worked. but now it doesnt and i have no idea what it could be. i disconnected the battery when i was taking off the bumper but now its connected obviously. what could the problem be?

...It could be a fuse or the horn relay....:dunno:

...The lack of info on what was wrecked makes it rather difficult to answer...If you hit the front end it could be a shorted wire...Did the airbags deploy???...

no the airbags didnt deploy, i bent my radiator support in, messed up my hood, fender, grill, and header panel and thats about it. so i dont think it was from the accident. and it worked after the accident so i dont see how it could be anything that has to do with that...

...I'm pretty sure your horn and it's wiring are in the area that you described as getting bent up...The one shot of the horn may have taken out the fuse or relay..:dunno:

what kind of fuse is it? because i have a bunch of 10s laying around... and whats a horn relay?

your blinkers are blinking fast because the turn signals have less resistance since they are not connected or messed up from the accident. Just replace the bulbs or possible the socket. (I just had this issue and had to pick up a new socket)

when i put the truck back together i will. but now i still need to figure out the horn...

i have had horn problems on both of my explorers and it was bc of the same problem.. the ground. double check the ground wire connection, check for pinched wires, if you can supply direct power and ground to the horn and see if it is in fact working. the horns are a pain to get to though.
