windscreen wipers constantly turning on.

Hi guys i have a 2000 model UR explorer, which i think is a xl in the states.
lately when driving my windscreen wipers just turn on, without me even touching the stick. and nearly every time i indicate left they turn on flat out.
has anyone else had this problem and would anyone know how to easily fix it.

Sounds like the MFS is worn out (Multi-Function-Switch)

ISSUE
The front windshield wipers may operate while the
multifunction switch is in the OFF position on some
vehicles. This may be caused by a resistance drift
in the multifunction switch or a partially plugged-in
connector.

ACTION
If the uncommanded wiper operation condition is
present and all wiper related connectors are fully
seated, install a revised multifunction switch.
