Wiring Stock switch to PIAA relay

I recently purchased a bezel with a fog lamp switch so I could use this swith for my PIAA. I looked up the color and wire codes and chiltons and hooked it up like I should have(I think). Red to light blue and black, Black to black, and white to tan and orange. The problem that I am having is the fuse keeps on blowing on the circut that I have tapped my switch power from. I hooked up the PIAA switch once again everything works fine as before. Can the stock switch be used? Why does it draw so many amps, a switch is a switch right. If this can't be done any suggestions?
Thanks
Jeff

Maybe it has something to do with the lamp in the switch? Is the switch totally free from anything else (only connected to relay and power)?

That's it completly closed, except for the power from the radio. I was thinking that it could be a different style switch, the PIAA intermitently sends a signal to the relay to hold, and the stock is a holding switch.

Try getting power from a different circuit.
