most ppl aren't gonna swap out there stock 4.6 so what kind of numbers do you think it would put down on a stock 4.6? i love the look of that SC i think its sexier then the KB
Well if you mean stock displacement 4.6L, forged and built motor / exhaust you can still push the the SC as much as I am. If you mean stock rods and pistons with heads and exhaust, IMO you might still be able to reach close to 400whp, because the stock short blocks are know to handle 400ish whp.
If the SC was with the stock case, intake ect, you couldn't make 400whp even at 13psi with this blower. So IMO even at say 350whp and 13psi, the pressure would be to high IMO to handle 13psi for the piston lands and rods, even though it might only be making 350whp. I made 400+whp at just 9psi, so if ones has a stock short block, but good heads and exhaust, crap, you might make very close to 400whp at a low sustainable psi. Maybe not 9psi because my big bore flows better than a 4.6, but I can realistically see maybe about 360ish at about 9psi with a slightly bigger blower pulley to lower the psi about 1 point. So 9psi with a good tune, stock short block, worked heads and exhaust possible with this kit, IMHO. Then just forge the bottom and leaving it to a 4.6L, it would be right behind my big bore in every level prob about 35-40whp shy.
But the question is so open for sooo many combination's that it really is hard to say. If you are talking about on a completely stock motor, exhaust and all... hmmm, well the AED is designed for a complety stock car, they provide a 6psi and 9psi pulleys. Well lets see... stock HP is 239 to the motor, take out say 20% for the wheels? Puts the stock X at 191whp. Then the stock AED kit at 9psi, you might see about at most prob about 8whp per psi, so maybe about 266whp for a STOCK m90 case and non worked AED intake. The MPX blower case at about 350+whp typically see's about 10-15whp per psi depending on how well everything else flows, my setup def is in the upper bracket as I got 401whp at just 9psi. So let's assume that with my modified intake and MPX case, that maybe it will see about 12whp per psi on a stock long block and exhaust (prob see closer to 15whp with my current setup after 350whp mark). So this AED on a complete stock truck no exhaust nothing... prob tipping right at 300whp, and about 266whp on a stock AED kit. As the blower gets spun faster, the numbers on the stock case will start to go down as the stock blower case will start to escape its efficiency range and have diminishing returns, while this MPX case will become more efficient, so you can see the trade off between low psi and and when you start to over spin it.
